Single pole was a piece of c ake with no problems. Read the instructions several times before attempting to install any switch or timer. The instructions, while confusing at first, were very explicit in how to wire in the timers. If you wire the travelers wrong, the timer won't work so you simply swap them and you are good to go! A multimeter or line detector is an invaluable tool to use for wiring 3-way lighting. The only "trick" was figuring out the traveler lines from the power line for the 3-way.
